Halloween Spooktacular

Things might be going “bump” in the mine next month, as the sensational Halloween Spooktacular returns to A Welsh Coal Mining Experience at Rhondda Heritage Park.

On October 29 and 30,  ghosts and ghouls can enjoy an Underground Spooky Tour, Pumpkin Hunt with prizes, arts and crafts , two small funfair rides, crazy golf and lots of Halloween-themed fun.

The web of fun will be cast right across the entire site, with lots of decorations and more to ensure an atmosphere that is frighteningly good.

Entry to Halloween Spooktacular is £3.50 for participating children (all participating children) and includes the pumpkin hunt, arts and crafts, small funfair and crazy golf.

Accompanying parents and carers can attend these sessions for free and you can choose from two time slots - 10am to 1pm or 2pm to 5pm. Please allow at least two hours to complete all activities on site.

If you just want entry to the event and the activities above - book tickets here

If you are feeling brave you can also join us for an Underground Spooky Tour. The tours leave every 20 minutes, so you will have plenty of time during your visit to join one if you wish during your time on site.

If you want to book the entire event, including entry, activities above and the underground tour - book tickets here

Please note, this costs £3.50 per adult (for tour entry) and £7 per child (for entry to the Spook event plus the tour).

Cllr Ann Crimmings, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment and Leisure, said: “Huge thanks to the team at A Welsh Coal Mining Experience who have cast their spooky spell and secured the return of Halloween Spooktacular for 2022.

“This promises to be a weekend of frighteningly good fun, where visitors of all ages can join us, either just for the on-site activities or add on an Underground Spooky Tour if they wish.

“We are all looking forward to welcoming little monsters from all over – don’t forget the fancy dress costumes.”

Halloween Spooktacular at A Welsh Coal Mining Experience is sponsored by Nathaniel Cars, who have been keeping the residents of Rhondda Cynon Taf and beyond on the road for more than 35 years, thanks to their friendly teams in Cardiff and Bridgend.
