In order to use your local library or any of its services you will need to become a member.
Become a library member
Once you have joined you will be able to visit any library in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
Proof of identification accepted
- drivers licence
- recent utility bill
- council tax bill
Junior membership
Membership - 0-13 yrs
One form of ID showing family address is to be provided together with a completed library membership form signed by a parent or guardian.
If the child is accompanied by their parent/guardian, they are allowed to borrow the full entitlement of 10 items.
If the child is not accompanied by a parent/guardian they join under the Junior Probationary category. They will be allowed to borrow a maximum of 2 books for the first three visits. After three visits, if all items have been returned, they will be allowed to borrow the full entitlement of 10 items.
Membership - 14-16 yrs
One form of ID showing name & family address is to be provided together with a completed library membership form signed by a parent or guardian. Once a member, the full entitlement of 10 items may be borrowed.
Internet access agreement
To use the Internet at any library requires the completion of the Internet Access agreement form. This form is available at the libraries.
0 - 16 years
Children aged 16 and under must supply one form of ID showing family address together with a completed library membership form and an Internet access agreement form, both signed by a parent or guardian.
