Japanese knotweed on Private Land
All Japanese Knotweed issues on private land affecting neighbouring properties must be reported to the Council.
Japanese Knotweed and the law
It is not illegal to have Japanese Knotweed on your land but it is an offence to allow Japanese Knotweed to spread to neighbouring land. It is the landowners responsibility to treat any Japanese Knotweed on their land.
