Japanese Knotweed is a rapid growing weed which spreads and overwhelms other garden plants and can cause structural damage to buildings.
It is such a damaging plant that it is controlled by law. It is illegal to allow this plant to spread.
The Council has a duty to investigate Japanese Knotweed growing on or spreading from land that it owns.
