Incontinence waste collections

How it works

You need to register your address to start receiving collections. 

Purple Incontinence bags are free and delivered to your address. Purple bags enable you to dispose of your incontinence waste hygienically and helps you manage your black bag allowance.

Within 2 weeks of registering, we will email you your collection day and deliver your purple bags. Collections take place weekly from your collection point. 

You can register for up to 3 years and you can extend your collections if needed.

To put incontinence waste out for collection:

• Register for collections
• Check your incontinence waste collection day after registering as it may be different to your usual bin collection day.
• Put only used incontinence pads and wet wipes in your purple bag.
• Do not use black, clear recycling bags or any other bags not provided by us.
• Do not overfill your bag.
• Tie the top of your bag tightly.
• Put out as many purple bags as you need each collection day.
• Place your bag at your usual collection point by 7am.

When you have incontinence waste to collect, register your address to receive collections. We will email you your collection day and deliver your purple bags within 2 weeks. 

You can register for up to 3 years and you can extend your collections if needed.

Applying early could mean that we will assume you no longer need the service and cancel your collections if your purple bags are not put out for 4 weeks in a row.

Reporting a missed collection

If you have registered and your green waste sacks have not been collected within 24 hours of your scheduled collection, you can report a missed collection online.

Your registration lasts for up to 3 years.
