Rhondda Cynon Taf Council and South Wales Police are working in partnership to educate people on the dangers of illegal off-roading on coal tips, the damage this causes to tip drainage systems, and the danger this poses to the public.

Council contractor Hammonds Ltd will return to the site in the week commencing Monday, January 6. The works location will be opposite Aberdare Park Primary School, just north of the section that was rebuilt in phase one

The weather forecast from Saturday into Sunday remains uncertain, but the latest update from the Met Office suggests an initial widespread covering of snow on Saturday evening.

The Met Office has issued weather warnings for this weekend due to expected wintery conditions – including for showery rain, sleet and snow starting from mid-day Saturday 4th January until midnight Sunday 5th January.
