On behalf of Rhondda Cynon Taf Council, and the people of Rhondda Cynon Taf, I would like to express our great sadness on hearing the news of the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
The Queen has been an incredibly important constant to our nation, in an ever changing world. A gracious and diplomatic figurehead, and ambassador for our nation, The Queen has ruled for longer than any other Monarch in British history, and there will inevitably be a profound sadness felt across our communities, our nation, and throughout the Commonwealth at her passing.
Flags across the County Borough will be flown at half-mast until the day after the funeral of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II
