Get ready to make a splash this summer holidays, thanks to Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Leisure for Life service!
In addition to the return of the popular FREE FAMILY SWIMS taking place at each of the eight pools throughout the school holidays, NEW ALN Free Family swims have also been added to the timetables.
This means families in Rhondda Cynon Taf can choose from a range of free swimming opportunities at their local or preferred Leisure for Life swimming pool - at no cost!
As well as free ALN free family swims and free family swims, a number of the pools are also offering inflatable sessions, where the pool inflatables or mats and floats, will be out for a fun session. There is a charge for these sessions, taking place at Bronwydd Swimming Pool, Llantrisant Leisure Centre, Rhondda Sports Centre and Sobell Leisure Centre.
Please note these sessions are aimed at confident swimmers aged eight and over. Children aged 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Leisure for Life members can book on to these sessions up to a week in advance as part of their membership. Non members can book on to these sessions the day before. Contact the organising centre for more.

There are also a number of swimming lesson crash courses taking place. If you have a little one already in Junior Learn to Swim who wants to accelerate their learning, or you just want your child to learn new skills in the holidays, these are a brilliant option.
You can search for and book swimming crash courses here.
Use the drop down menu to select your pool and swimming crash courses to see availability.
If your little one isn’t in swimming lessons yet, and you want to start them this summer, please check out our information pages for Baby and Toddler Swimming (Bubbles and Splash) and Junior Learn to Swim here.
Finally, get ready for a summer of fun with the Leisure for Life Summer Pass, which is just £16.50 (around £8 a week) and offers unlimited gym, swimming, indoor sports such as squash, badminton and table tennis. You simply buy a pass, use it for two weeks and then buy another one. Find out more here.
Please note, children have to be aged 11 and over to use Leisure for Life gyms.
Cllr Scott Emanuel, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Cabinet Member for Communities, Culture and Leisure, said: “Leisure for Life has done it again this summer, providing a timetable of free swimming opportunities for families across all eight of its pools.
“I am particularly proud and pleased to see the addition of dedicated free family swim sessions for families with ALN children. This is in direct response to local families who have asked us for more inclusive sessions they can enjoy with their children.
“Please check out the timetables and get ready to make a splash at Leisure for Life this summer.
“Don’t forget to check out the Leisure for Life Summer Pass, an easy and affordable way to keep the kids busy, active and entertained during the long summer holidays.
“It’s no obligation, just buy a pass and use it for two weeks and, when it expires, buy another one. The pass, with junior concession, works out to around £8 a week for unlimited gym, swimming and indoor sports so it is great value.”
