Volunteering with Rhondda Cynon Taf Libraries

Rhondda Cynon Taf Library Service recognises that volunteers working alongside library staff can play an important role in extending and enhancing the library services we provide.

Volunteering can be a rewarding and beneficial experience helping you:

  • get training and experience hands on opportunities
  • meet new people and help others
  • improve your confidence
  • boost your CV
  • learn new skills

Rhondda Cynon Taf Library Service will be identifying volunteering opportunities at libraries across the County Borough, so whether you enjoy reading and chatting or want to help people get online there may be an opportunity for you.

As volunteering opportunities arise they will be advertised here so check regularly for updates.

How to volunteer

We will promote volunteering opportunities when they arise.

Read the role description carefully before deciding on whether a volunteering opportunity is suitable for you. This will provide general information on the volunteer opportunity including location and numbers of hours if appropriate.

Please note that we will continue to support applications for work experience, Welsh Baccalaureate and Duke of Edinburgh volunteering. To apply for these please contact your local library.
