Be Active Wales Fund
We’re excited to inform you that the Sport Wales Be Active Wales Fund is now open for applications; offering grants from £300 to £50,000 to support sports clubs and community organisations across Wales.
There has been some important changes made for 2025/26.
Key Details:
- There will be three windows of opportunity to apply this year:
- Window 1: 9am Wednesday 2 April – 4pm Wednesday 4 June 2025
- Window 2: 9am Wednesday 9 July 4pm Wednesday 17 September 2025
- Window 3: 9am Wednesday 5 November 2025 – 4pm Wednesday 14 January 2026
- Purpose: Funding is available for projects that promote equality, sustainability, and innovation in sport. This includes purchasing equipment, enhancing facilities, and supporting the development of volunteers and coaches.
- Contribution Requirements: For grants between £300 and £25,000, a minimum contribution of 10% of the total project cost is required. For grants between £25,001 and £50,000, a minimum contribution of 20% is needed. Funding for certain high-value items, such as floodlights, is capped at 50% of the total project cost.
- Please note that each club or organisation can make only one successful application per year.
