Explore the country park at your leisure or follow one of our three marked walks.
They vary in distance and difficulty, but each offers a marked route through stunning scenery.Meander past the lakes and spot the local wildlife on wheelchair and pushchair accessible routes.
Or take on a horseshoe-shaped trek to the top of the Valley, where peregrines soar high and the Cynon Valley and the Brecon Beacons stretch out in front of you.
The walk routes leaflet can be collected from the Visitor Centre or you can download them here:
- The Bwllfa Trail a 2mile (3.5km) route on level-surface paths suitable for pushchairs/ wheelchairs
- The Cae Mawr Trail takes you off the beaten track uphill and over stiles for 2.5miles (4km)
- The Penrhiwllech Trail follows a horseshoe-shaped 4mile (6km) route out of the valley around Tarren Y Bwllfa and high up on to the upland plateau.
Travel a little further to enjoy waterfalls, mountain tops - including South Wales’ very own “Table Top Mountain” and some of the best views in Wales.
