Thank You For Supporting Our Santa Appeal 2022

Santa-Appeal-Thankyou-2022

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who has supported our RCT Santa Appeal 2022!

Despite these difficult times, over 4,000 gifts have been pledged and donated to children and young people in Rhondda Cynon Taf who might not otherwise have received presents on Christmas Day.

Together you have helped make a huge difference to so many young lives this festive season. Thank you all so much for your generosity and for thinking of others.

Councillor Gareth Caple, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council Cabinet Member for Health and Social Care, said:  "Thank you so much to every person who has supported our Santa Appeal this year. Due to your wonderful generosity and support at this time, many children and young people in Rhondda Cynon Taf will be waking up on Christmas Day to open a special gift.

"Having been going for a decade, our Santa Appeal is a Christmas tradition. I am delighted that, once again, it has proved to be a huge success. This is all down to the generosity of many people, businesses, organisations and charities.

"Once again, the generosity of our local communities has been overwhelming. Thank you for helping us make a huge difference to so many young lives this Christmas."

Now in its 10th year, the Council's Santa Appeal has once again proved to be a huge success, with our kind-hearted residents, businesses, charities, and organisations donating thousands of gifts to children and young people in Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Welsh Blood, TT Electronics Abercynon, The Royal Mint, Tesco, Coleg Y Cymoedd, Flexicare, University of South Wales, Network Recruit, Gallagher Insurance, Asda, Complete Core Business Solutions, and many more for your overwhelming generosity.

Thanks also to the families and individuals who have donated gifts, all helping ensure that no child or young person living in Rhondda Cynon Taf is left out or forgotten at this special time of year.

All children and young people identified by Rhondda Cynon Taf Council social workers will now wake up to at least one gift on Christmas Day, each thoughtfully selected to match specific ages and gender, including gift card vouchers for the older children on Santa's List!

Santa's Helpers from the Council are now busy sorting out all the gifts to ensure they are ready for Santa to collect and deliver to homes across our County Borough.
