Repairs to a wall at Cwmbach Road in Cwmbach will take place in the school Easter holiday to minimise disruption.
The two-week scheme, delivered via Council revenue funding, will start on Monday, March 25 – and will end by April 5.
The wall is located south of the section of ‘S’ bends between Cwmbach and Plasdraw, where the road crosses a stream.
Work will include vegetation removal from the wall, repointing areas of the structure, reinstating copings, and rebuilding a section of wall where it is required.
The Council has appointed DT Contracting to deliver the works on site.
A single lane closure is required on Cwmbach Road, requiring temporary traffic lights which will be manually controlled at peak times.
The footway next to the wall will also be closed – pedestrians can use the nearby section of the Cynon Trail (accessible from Cwmbach Road, south of the work site) as an alternative route.
Thanks to residents and road users in advance for your cooperation.
